So I've just spit a fair amount of well deserved venom at my 'elected' representatives in D.C. - Chuck Grassley, David Young, and absolutely least, the bread bag bitch herself, Joni Ernst. Hope I get a nice, polite but secretly condescending form letter back that basically ignores my concerns as a voter...

Here's what I wrote if you're interested -

"You and your slimeball cronies in Washington have been itching for a chance to swing your political dicks in the direction needed to remove the best piece of healthcare legislation ever in the history of the U.S. and you deserve every bit of venom coming your way for it. It's bad enough that Governor Dumb-stad screwed the pooch with his idiotic Medicaid privatization plan in the first place, but now you fuckers are going to screw over even more Iowans, who have benefited for the first time ever with the provisions of the ACA, than you liars purport to relieve with whatever stool sample it is that manages to get regurgitated from the bowels of the conservative republican healthcare sewer when all is said and done. So FUCK YOU and I hope you rot in hell, you piece of shit."

Let's hope that the democrats don't sell us out, as they are our only hope

Ironically, it will probably die because a segment of hardline Republicans wont get the full repeal that they demand so ignorantly...

Maybe, but republicans are also known for party loyalty, look at all the repubs that hated trump but still voted for him because he was a republican. Democrats dont seem to have that sort of party loyalty, which worries me. I fear that the senators will sell us out.

Anyone will bow to anything with the right inducement... Pessimistic, I know, but we knew we were going to get shafted under Trump in some way, shape or form... Best we can do is not take it lying down.

He is gonna try, though it does seem like the ship is burning down. Well not So much burning down but burning in nuclear fire. My father has remarked that "For the republicans, they thought beating Clinton was the best thing for them. It has become by far the worst thing for them. They have been able to do barely anything, making them look weak, and the republicans sell their selves on strength. Anything they have done has blown up in their face. Their win was a cheap one since they didn't win the popular vote, and will most likely further harm their chances and has exposed even more of their flaws. The final thing that has doomed them is this:part of the reason why us democrats lost was that we got complacent. Many of us assumed that Clinton would win, so many either not voted or voted for Stein because certain griviences against clinton. We have been shown that we have become complacent. We have gotten angry. And when Liberals get angry, its a righteous fury that is destined to succeed. History has shown That every time they will eventually win. They may lose a few battles, but they always win the war. This is the most dangerous thing for the republicans that trump winning done. We lost because the sleeping giant had fallen asleep. It's awake now. And they know that." We just have to hope that the democratic representatives can keep a moral fortitude. Our resistancerelies on this.

Well, anger or no anger, without a 50 state strategy there's no way Dems will get anything out of the midterms. Only about 8 or nine of the Rep. seats are up for grabs whereas 25 on the other side are in contention...
